I ordered photo frames for displaying favorite photographs with sandblasting glass processing for a company located in Fukushima Prefecture before the earthquake disaster.

For the people who was suffered disastrous earthquake / tsunami, muddy and dusty photographs were one of the things which they tried hard to find out from the rubble. Also for the residents - forced to evacuate from the area because of the nuclear power station accident - visiting off from their present residence for their temporary stay, collecting up their photographs from their house was important. The story made me really emotional.
As a personal memory, as a memento of a deceased person or as a connection with family members or friends, value can exist only in viewers of the photographs. This is what Roland Bartt called "that-has-been”. This is somewhat my personal and desultory landscapes.
